WWEP PROGRAMS

OUR VISION

Our vision is to give life back to our patriots by raising financial support for and awareness of equine rehabilitative programs for wounded warriors. Here are some of the programs we are planning to launch.

RESCUE A SOLDIER, RESCUE A HORSEPicture

Rebuilding the bond between soldier and horse can help the warrior heal and give a new lease on life, but human interaction is also critical to horses in need. WWEP raises funds to help non-profit horse rescue farms pay for feed, grooming, transportation, and medical care of their herd, while the farms provide equine therapy programs for veterans and service members.
Minimum operational expenses estimated at $60,000 per farm per year.

WORKING WARRIOR PROGRAM

Picture

Wounded Warriors and Veterans enroll in the Warrior Holistic Healing Program for six months to a year on a certified WWEP farm, and are given room, board and local healthcare in return for farm labor.
Minimum costs for care and expenses estimated at:

  • to rehabilitate a horse $10,000 per year
  • to rehabilitate a Veteran $20,000 per year. Includes housing, transportation, medical care, food and board

FREEDOM FARM

Picture

We hope to acquire and create a model WWEP farm that will be a holistic healing center camouflaged as a dude ranch. Veterans/wounded warriors will be able to live and heal, as participants in the Warrior Holistic Healing Program, on this farm until they feel safe to resume their lives.
$3–$5 million purchase & development price
$150,000 per year operational costs

WWEP NETWORK

Picture

Giving our Wounded Warriors access to equine therapy facilities in their community can’t happen without identifying partner farms and therapy programs, and building relationships and coordinating cooperative activities between WWEP locations and the nearest VA or military hospital and other Behavioral Health Departments. This effort includes assisting individual program locations with marketing and fundraising efforts.
